Firstly being shortlisted for best solo act at the Brighton Music awards and now making the long list for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent!

I’ve been working away in Clockwork Owl Studio the past few weeks working on new tunes with Tim, and its all sounding rather exciting! It’s soo lovely to be back in the studio and working on new stuff again. I am taking full advantage of those pesky little thoughts that enter your head just before you fall asleep at night. Thank you very much to Helen for my BEAUTIFUL music book to capture it all!

I was incredibly nervous as I have listened to his show for over ten years, so it was a big deal to finally meet the man himself!

The support so far from BBC Radio 6 and Q has been fantastic, and to round up the week with a support slot opening for Martin Rossiter at the Deaf Institute in Manchester on the 25th Nov and London’s Borderline on the 26th, I’d say things are moving upwards nicely.

However, the hard work is just beginning..and there is no rest for the wicked.

For those of you waiting for the clarinet up date…I have taught myself a basic scale and the first lesson starts this coming sat…I just need to stop trying to play it when I’ve had a few red wines..hic. xxx

It has been an over whelming response to the new “Diggory” video since it was launched last week, and the support hasn’t stopped there. Receiving an incredibly warm welcome on the “world wide web” and standing up on it’s own on the “New to Q” playlist and Steve Lamacq’s Rebel playlist this week.

I will also have some massive news to share next week with regard to 6 Music.

I have to pinch myself when I also hear the likes of Gideon Coe playing my cover of Temptation by New Order on BBC Radio 6, that we recorded a good 18 months or so ago.

Just proves I can’t get too comfy!

That said, I spent some time writing in Clock Work Owl studios this week, and it felt goood.

I think next week is going to get better!

Here’s to hoping I make the official playlist, and I look forward to purchasing my clarinet!

Not that any of that would be familiar to any peeps out there as we had to scrap all that and call upon the help of Thom Undrell from Novi Films. http://www.youtube.com/user/novifilms

I think we can all agree that Thom’s eye for detail and cinematic flare juxtaposed with Tim’s Brighton based shoot were a nice touch, so we called him back to see see if he would be up for creating a video for Diggory. Once again Thom agreed and it is an absolute CORKER! I am so pleased with the outcome it’s ridiculous. If I had a digital pocket where I stored my ‘videos’, it would be well and truly burnt through with temptation, as I need to hold back due to pesky schedules.

We have had a great time making Diggory, so much so that I must admit I am sad it’s the end! There has been a lot of laughter making this little treat… the highlight for me would have to be listening in on the star and moon characters talking about bus routes and smoking fags off set, still fully dressed and being quite serious, and their superb acting made it very hard to keep a straight face.

The tears rolled down my face to the point my contacts nearly washed out of my eyeballs….

It is yet to be confirmed but I hope to have a preview launch night for all of the crew and cast along with some close fans of the Jennifer Left camp to celebrate Diggory in all its glory. Once I’ve past this by the boss man I will keep you posted about details.

I know it is only September and November is far away in some respects, but the wheels are churning in our house as there is still a lot of work to be done.

As you can see we’ve also been able to finally air the new video for the single and we love it! It took a hell of a lot of work from the team and I want to thank them all for their hard work to make it look so lovely.
