CHICAGO – L’Art Institut of Chicago invite les visiteurs à s’immerger dans l’univers de Van Gogh en leur proposant une nuit dans une petite chambre bleue, réplique d’une de ces toiles.
Située au centre-ville de Chicago, la chambre est une reproduction parfaite – coups de pinceau à l’appui – de la fameuse «Chambre de Van Gogh à Arles» peinte par l’artiste à la fin des années 1800.
L’institut l’a mise en location sur le site Airbnb pour seulement 14$ la nuit (10$ US) la nuit. Elle comporte un petit lit, deux chaises toutes simples et quelques cadres, et peut accueillir deux personnes.
L’initiative a été lancée pour promouvoir l’exposition «Van Gogh’s Bedrooms», qui se tiendra à l’Art Institute of Chicago du 14 février au 20 mai 2016 et qui réunira pour la première fois en Amérique du Nord les trois tableaux de cette chambre à coucher de Arles qu’a peints Van Gogh entre 1888 et 1889.
Selon l’institut, il s’agit sûrement de la chambre la plus fameuse de l’histoire de l’art.
